Senior Life in Utah

Utah is seeing a rise in the number of residents over the age of 65. As of the 2006 state census, there are over 610,000 residents in Alabama over the age of 65. That percentage in Alabama is almost 1% over the national average of 12.4%. The need for senior living help in Alabama continues to grow.

Economy:

Utah is currently undergoing an economic renaissance of sorts, as it attempts a transformation from a farming- and natural resources-based economy into a modern corporate power. According to the State New Economy Index, Utah is the top state for “economic dynamism,” a reflection of its increasingly global, technology-driven economic expansion. Mining and fossil fuels are both still major industries in the state. Since Utah hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, tourism has boomed. Utah has five national parks including Zion and Bryce Canyon and hosts the Sundance Film Festival.
