Senior Life in Pennsylvania

There are currently more than 1,883,000 seniors in Pennsylvania. This number will most certainly rise in the coming years, as well as the need for assisted living and long term care in Pennsylvania.

Pennsylvania is sixth in the nation in gross state product, generating more than $550 billion dollars each year. Famous for its steel and manufacturing industries, Pennsylvania is home to 50 Fortune 500 corporations including US Steel and Heinz. The state also hosts a thriving financial sector and was the birthplace of the first nationally-chartered bank, which is still the fifth-largest bank in the country and known today as PNC Financial Services. Agriculturally, Pennsylvania is the largest mushroom producer in the nation and among the top producers of Christmas trees, milk, corn, grapes, and nursery products.
